This weekend, while I was chillin' at my friend's house in NY state, I modded my car a bit... "Joey-modded" that-is. Background: This guy named Joey was the first to write up a mod where you paint the chrome around your VW's headlights.. flat-black. The result is amazing.

While I had the grill out I decided to paint that as well. (you have to remove the front bumper just to get at the headlights, then melt the silicon sealing them shut with a hairdryer.) I started with flat-black on that, but it looked kind of cheesy so I grabbed a can of "Black-Metallic" from ACE and used that instead. Standard primer and everything, sand-paper to get the existing paint off, and some clear enamel to seal everything in.
