South Park: Lost Episode?

Permalink: 12/31/2005 12:37:00 PM

So, while we're on the topic, something's been bugging me. Last year, the episode "A.W.E.S.O.M.E-O." replaced what I remember to be an extremely controversial one. I think I remember seeing previews for it and being like "WTF!?? LOL" but the episode never aired... does anyone have an explanation for this mystery?

Here's the killer: When they originally aired the replacement episode, they showed a message: "This night's episode has been replaced with a new one, entitled 'A.W.E.S.O.M.E.-O.'...." Someone call Comedy Central and e-mail me. :)

Another controversial South Park Episode pulled.

Super lame! Viacom now has "no plans to rerun" the "Bloody Mary" episode. Thank god it's still available on P2P File Sharing networks, as well as probably on the upcoming Southpark DVD for this season.

"Eigth Level of Hell - the Malebolge"

Permalink: 12/28/2005 10:38:00 PM

"Many and varied sinners suffer eternally in the multi-leveled Malebolge, an ampitheatre-shapped pit of despair Wholly of stone and of an iron colour: Those guilty of fraudulence and malice; the seducers and pimps, who are whipped by horned demons; the hypocrites, who struggle to walk in lead-lined cloaks; the barraters, who are ducked in boiling pitch by demons known as the Malebranche. The simonists, wedged into stone holes, and whose feet are licked by flames, kick and writhe desperately. The magicians, diviners, fortune tellers, and panderers are all here, as are the thieves. Some wallow in human excrement. Serpents writhe and wrap around men, sometimes fusing into each other. Bodies are torn apart. When you arrive, you will want to put your hands over your ears because of the lamentations of the sinners here, who are afflicted with scabs like leprosy, and lay sick on the ground, furiously scratching their skin off with their nails. Indeed, justice divine doth smite them with its hammer."
According to Dante's Inferno Test, I'm headed to the 8th of 9 levels of hell. LOL.

Last-Minute Shopping Tip.

Permalink: 12/24/2005 01:12:00 PM

This year I saved a ton of money (like, at least $100) by ringing things up separately with the same coupons. It's great for big-ticket items when they'll only apply to one single item! :)

digg this story?

Best Buy will probably be changing the rules of those next year because of me. "Oh I need you to ring these cameras up separately and give me the mail-in rebates." :D

Anyway, all you have to do is tell the cashier, "Hey, ring these up separately so I can apply the coupon to both." Most of the time they won't even care, but the game is in your control, as you can just come back and buy the other items later... they know that, too. The best case scenario is they'll be like, "Oh, we'll just give you the extra discount. It's no problem." -- BUT, make sure they do before you leave the register! (on your receipt, do the math) I had to go to returns and ask for a credit one time, but they were happy to give it to me. :)

Shizzam! We were able to get the better models for my family because we lowered the price to that of the lesser ones... smart shopping. ;)

eXeem? Gone.

All of this news about the true-demise of Suprnova (the classic BitTorrent tracker) let me to realize that its successor, "eXeem", disappeared. Wikipedia has more information on its disappearance, and why it inevitable.

"They shot me in the laptop!"

Permalink: 12/18/2005 06:31:00 PM

"This morning I found myself at a post-office. I was clumsy enough to forget my laptop (in it's small grey bag) on the office's floor and walk away. I noticed I've lost it only an or two later..." (via UNEASYsilence)

To make a long-story short, they called the bomb squad and shot it to see if it was an explosive.

The good news is that they missed the hard drive, battery (that would have been a disaster), CD drive, and a few other things he salvaged. And, the state paid for it (or will pay for it), and he had insurance!

My favorite "Conan O'Brian" Moments...

Permalink: 12/17/2005 02:57:00 AM

All this about COB's show reminded me of my favorite episodes.

1. Snoop Dogg and Rocket Man
This episode was the best episode I've *ever* seen. Conan just went all out on this guy that was trying to blast himself into space... and of course Snoop Dogg was there right before and just dying on the couch next to him. Like, I can't explain how amazing this was and if I could get a tape of it I'd pay at least $2.

2. Sisqo's Only Hit Song
This was on recently (including tonight, again) and is so stupid it's funny. This Sisqo impersonator is dancing with no shirt on, white warm-up pants and matching vest. The music comes on, he starts dancing, rips off the dress of a manaquin, and it's just goes on from there. The funniest part was how they brought the same guy doing the same thing back a second night. Bravo! ...haha. (the second time it was the Christmas special of it, with santa caps) Conan: "That should be a four hour special... MAN he's excited about the thong."

...Eh I can't think of anymore.

Kingdom Hearts II (coming soon)

Permalink: 12/06/2005 01:13:00 PM

The original Kingdom Hearts, co-developed by Disney and Squaresoft/Square-Enix (the makers of Final Fantasy), was easily my favorite game of all time. It was that good. Now considered a PS2 "Greatest Hit", it can be bought for like $19.99 and, honestly, is the perfect gift that nobody expects.

Most people were like "Pff, why would I want to play a game with Disney characters... am I four years old??" -- If this is you, buy the game (or rent it) and return it if you don't like it. If you haven't played Kingdom Hearts, you should.

Think of it like Pixar... they make movies for adults, but with a lot of youth-appeal as well!

Anyway--

The sequel is coming out in Japan in about two weeks, and IGN has a preview up. We should be seeing the American version in March... I can't wait. Enjoy. Every game developed by Squaresoft/Square-Enix is amazing.

"PixelBlocks come in a single shape, featuring a peg-and-hole combination for stacking top-to-bottom, and a unique tooth-and-groove combination on the other four sides. The unique shape allows PixelBlocks to be connected in three versatile ways that enable you to build effortlessly in 2-D or 3-D. The blocks themselves are approximately 3/8" (0.9 cm) translucent cubes."
