"I Hate Clowns."

Permalink: 4/29/2006 12:32:00 AM

"There are people in this world who dress up and act like clowns; I don't like these people. I am not clownophobic (or to be politically /scientifically correct, coulrophobic). I do not fear clowns. Really. I don't. They are just not nice people. They scare little kids, they cause neurosis in some adults, they have big floppy feet, they try to fit too many of their kind in a car, I could go on and on."

Where's George?

Permalink: 4/26/2006 02:47:00 PM

A friend of mine e-mailed me about "Where's George"... a project to track the flow of dollar bills... and I immediately recalled the stamp I'd seen on a $100 bill just days before:

Gore is a [??] head? :D

However, little did I know, that I actually had one of the REAL "Where's George" bills in my wallet. :)

HOWEVER, I'm too lazy to fill out that form on their site... so oh well. :D

Why you shouldn't use E85 fuel unless it's at least 25% cheaper than regular fuel.

Permalink: 4/15/2006 01:02:00 AM

A lot of new GM Cars run on E85 fuel (made mostly from ethanol, a byproduct of corn), gasoline/petrol, or a blend of the two. What they hide all the way at the bottom of their FAQ is that you'll get 25% less miles-per-gallon on E85, versus regular gas.

So, essentially it's better for the environment, and converts into more horsepower/torque, but it ain't worth it until that price goes at least 25% less than what you'd be paying for normally. Watch out!

Let's all crack our iTunes Music.

Permalink: 4/06/2006 01:20:00 AM

I wish someone would write something that'll exploit the iTunes "burn CD" feature. Since it gives you an error when trying to burn an MP3 cd with Protected Music from the Music Store on it... wouldn't it be nice if there was a piece of software that would "accept" a 100x rip of raw Audio CD data straight into a WAV or MP3 file? :)
